Our Mission Statement
To continue our tradition in the automotive hobby; to be a responsible member of the communities in which we operate; and to pursue new business opportunities, ensuring the growth of the event.
KEEP IN MIND THAT WE HAVE A CAR PARTS ONLY POLICY.
How it all got started
Well, I had a crazy idea to host one as all the other car swap meets are out of town and quite far so I talked to Scott about it and together we came up with the idea. Talking to the guys from different events and organizations and even just people who enjoy this kind of thing, it’s missing in this area. Many years ago all the car guys would gather at the Autorama swap meet, either to buy sell or just visit with friends.
From what I have heard, a local swap meet was needed and V8 swap meet was born.
In 2017 we had 50 tables and 800 people through the door, we had a variety of sellers but this year and from now on it will be car parts only. Many guys have expressed the fact that they hate going to a swap meet and looking at pillows or potpourri or purses so we listened and decided to make it car parts only.
We are only starting out and we have a lot to learn but we will keep putting on this event for as long as we have your support.
Special thank you to:
- Scott for supporting me in the wild idea!
- The Royal Canadian Legion for the hall.
- Rod Rafter for the logo and poster design.
- David Johnston for the website.
